There's a framed picture hanging in our kids' bathroom.  (Many moons ago, it was hanging in my husband's childhood home.)

It says, "You don't have to brush all your teeth, just the ones you want to keep".   Apparently it made an impression on him - he is the king of dental hygiene!  It has even impacted our kids so much that when the vet made a comment about Jack's plaque, they sprung into action.  (Alex and Dad ultimately ended up in the roles of dental assistants)

Through the years, we have tried to brush Jack's teeth, but the boy is a *freak* about it.  He has always had a very nervous personality.  He doesn't like the rain, or most forms of water(loves ice, go figure!); he is petrified of the vacuum cleaner(but attacks the lawnmower?); and he is adamant about nothing touching his teeth(other than food or a tennis ball!).  We have tried so many dog toothpastes and different style brushes, as well as every chewable treat on the market that claims to conquer this ivory assailant.   Our vet strongly encouraged we try, try again.

For better or worse, Jack was going to have his teeth cleaned.  In the end, I think he only lasted through one full side of the cleaning, but that was enough for now. mouth

what's in there?

you can't make me

No animals were harmed in the filming of this sequence... although a human or two came out with a few chomps and scratches.  Oh, and Jack's teeth are beautiful(well, the left side for sure!) :D

Have you smiled today?
